Coaching Confidentiality Policy

What you share in coaching stays private. Trust is the ground this work grows from, and we protect it carefully.

What we keep confidential

Everything you share with your coach, including your intake answers, session conversations, check-ins, messages and notes, is kept confidential. We don't share it with anyone outside your coaching relationship without your written permission.

When we may share information

We will only disclose confidential information:

• with your written permission;
• if there's a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or someone else;
• if we suspect abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult; or
• if the law, a court order or a subpoena requires it.

When it's safe and appropriate, we'll tell you before anything is shared.

Our coaching team

The Connection Effect includes coaches besides Eden Holt. Eden reviews every intake to match you with the right coach. Coaches may consult each other or receive supervision to support the quality of your coaching. When they do, they share only what's needed and keep it within our team.

Coach certification

Coaches in certification may present case studies as part of their training. These are anonymized and never include your name or identifying details. You'll always be asked for permission first, and you're free to say no.

Organization-sponsored coaching

If your employer or organization pays for your coaching, the content of your sessions stays between you and your coach. We may share attendance, dates and general progress with the sponsor only as agreed in writing with you at the start.

Groups, workshops and The Grove

In group settings, we ask everyone to keep what others share private. We can't guarantee that every participant will, so share at the level that feels right for you.

Your records

Coaching notes are stored securely and kept for 3 years after coaching ends, then deleted. You can ask to see or delete your information by emailing connectioneffect@gmail.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle website and payment information.

Our materials

Coaching materials, worksheets and tools we provide are for your personal use. Please don't share or resell them.

Coaching is not therapy, counseling or medical care, and coaching conversations don't have legal privilege. If you're in crisis, contact local emergency services, or call or text 988 in the U.S.
